Fun With Faux Fur

Okay so let's face it, we can't all afford a fur jacket. Nor is there ever the right occasion to actually wear one, (talk about a spilled cocktail disaster.) So I'm starting to feel the need for FAUX. Whether or not you're a loyal member of PETA, faux fur makes a lot more sense right now. After doing some intense online research, I discovered LOTS of shopping sites with LOTS of faux fur. The pieces are affordable, available and way more accessible than the real thing. I'm all for keeping it real and I'm not big on nock-offs. But when it comes to fur, faux is definitely where it's at.

Blair Hits the Stage

Leighton Meester performing her new song "Somebody to Love" in NYC.
The outfit is a little nuts, (you're not Lady GaGa), but I do love Leighton/Blair and the song is pretty great.
And pleaseeee notice her adorable BF Sebastian Stan (a.k.a. Carter Baizen), cheering her on. And Jessica/Vanessa's there too! The only question is, where's Chuck? I mean Ed. Ugh whatever.
Such a goodie!

Couldn't Make it Up

So lately my friends have had some really amazing quotes.

And I was thinking today, why not post some of these quotes? They are just too enjoyable not to share. So here are some of my favs from the past week.

Completely candid, totally standard and so hilarious.

More quotes to come in the future, so keep the good lines coming friends!

Gina via bbm:

I know it’s her birthday because my friend’s band is playing at her party tomorrow. He couldn’t really tell me anything because of paparazzi issues- it’s top secret.

And when I say friend I mean a guy I work with who I’m desperately trying to make my friend, preferably by tomorrow.

Taylor via Gchat:

So since it’s a blind date, I’m thinking about ending the email with:

Perfect. See you then! Regards, Taylor.

PS: I have long brown hair and super intense bangs

PPS: don’t pay attention to my split ends

Megan via AIM:

He and the beret wearing girl were weirdly color coordinated too- i mean are they on their way to shoot a student film or do red and grey just bring out his olive skin tone? It's hard to say.

Becca via AIM:

I mean, I love Edward too, but HOLY INTENSE this is crazy.

Moira (yelling across the street):

I can't find my house keys but I just found fifty Euros in my purse!

Do you know how much I can buy with that!?

Katie via Facebook:

I’m sorry for harassing your brother.

Get Me a Quad Camera

This picture of Alli and I was taken with an iPhone Quad Camera.
I must admit, it's pretty rad.
I love my blackberry, but damn that's a cool application.

GG Recap

The theme of last night's GG was SKANKS. That's all that really needs to be said.
Everyone decided that it was time to get saucy and go wild. And the episode did not hold back.
I mean, I guess it wasn't that different from the cast's regular behavior but something about Serena's red fish nets, Trip's seducing glare, the threesome flashbacks and Jenny's drug dealer crush just really made the episode extra slutty. This cannot be good for the teens. But I will say one thing that's good- Trip's presence on the show. And if it means more skanky behavior, bring it on!

And HERE's the saucy recap!

Shopbop Hits the Dance Floor

So it looks like we're not the only ones channeling Studio 54...
SHOPBOP just did a fun spread called Last Days of Disco which features some divine styles and looks. All you need now is a dance floor!

As Shopbop says, we should "recall the glory days of Studio 54." And I fully agree!
But if you don't dig layers of satin or tons of shiny goldness, don't blame us. Blame it on the boogie!

So Many Sequins

Take me to the dance floor...

Moira and I dressed as Studio 54 regulars for Halloween. We love the theme of disco and the seventies and wild nights spent boogying on the dance floor.

I wore one of my favorite gems- a vintage black and gold sequin top from American Rag, (the gold sequins on the front are shaped as a butterfly!) And Moira rocked a one-shoulder black dress covered in GIANT sparkly sequins. (The dress became VERY scratchy but that's the price you pay for disco glam.) There were also boots and headbands and a ton of gold jewelry involved as well. And we did our best to channel Bianca Jagger and Liza Minnelli.

It was such a fun night!
If only we'd been around for the real Studio 54...

We found Karl!
